Welcome back!
It looks as though we may have had a setback
I’m still hopeful it’s only minor and temporary, but only time will tell. Jamie is self employed and, with the way the economy is at the moment, has had no work for several weeks. Unfortunately as Jamie becomes an honorary housewife (despite making every effort to find work) the world still turns and the bills still come rolling in!
I blame this for my recent lack of writing inspiration as I don’t tend to be able write when I have things on my mind (this is probably more of a reason to write, but I find it impossible to dwell on the bad things in life and so would rather not post about them).
Anyway, this may have set us back a few months and so we may end up not being able to travel until towards the end of the year, which isn’t the end of the world but it is a bit disappointing. Hopefully Jamie will be able to find some work soon and we’ll be back on our feet! We are going to continue investigating for our travelling plans as one way or another we are definitely going, be it in 6 months or 12 months!!

If you have a favourite picture “of the week ” - be it a sunset or anything you just really life, email it to me and I’ll post up the best one from the week (obviously linked to your site!). This is my favourite this week, taken over the weekend. My hometown is definitely a great place to take photos! x
This week I’ve set myself a few tasks!
The weeks of the year feel like they’re flying by and so I’ve decided that each week I will set myself a few goals. They might be simple and brief…but it’s better than nothing, and hopefully I’ll be able to set aside a few hours for each task.
I’ll let you know how I fare on Ebay as well!!

Thanks to some helpful comments & emails I have decided to forget the plugin approach to my links page and do the work myself (a bit of hard (ok, not so hard) work never hurt anyone!). If you want to be added to my links page just leave a comment or fill in the contact form and I’d be happy to oblige. Also if you’d like a little blurb about your blog I’m happy to do that too! God, I’m just so nice :-D x
Check it out here
P.s. Thank you if you did get in touch!
Nature Reserve
This afternoon we decided to go to Berry Head (Brixham, Torbay). Berry Head is a 100-acre nature reserve on a
coastal headland at the southern end of Torbay. The nature reserve is home to a colony of endangered bats, rare species’ of plants and also cows and goats. It is also the site of 2 Napoleonic forts and an unmanned lighthouse. The cliffs offer amazing sea views and bottlenose dolphins, common dolphins, harbour porpoises and basking sharks can regularly be spotted from this brilliant vantage point.
Berry Head has just been given a £1.8million Lottery Heritage grant for improvement work (including a new visitor centre) to be carried out over the next 3 years.
Today was (hopefully) the first sunny and warm day of many!! Definitely a good day to visit (and a bonus that it’s free).
The highlight of the day was walking to the edge of the cliff, looking over to the side of a further away cliff and there were kamikaze goats trying to eat grass on the very edge! The greedy things didn’t seem too worried that one foul move would send them a long way down into the chilly sea below! I myself was a little concerned about this and spent quite a while telling Jamie to be careful (he had the car keys - how would I get home if he fell? Hehe).
